Hunke - Jewellery
The Hunke Trauringe marriage ring shop at the centre of Ludwigsburg was to be redesigned to receive a modern look. The family business with its exclusive jewellery and high-quality silverware in Ludwigsburg´s pedestrian zone was given an atmosphere to match the setting of a jeweller´s shop.
The design concept effectively mirrors the outside of the baroque town of Ludwigsburg inside the store by connecting tradition and modern spirit.
The shining black antique furniture from the old shop was kept and is now complemented by straight-lined white pieces. Design statements such as the impressive Marcel Wanders lamps and the spatial handling of illustrations make for a completely new impression by re-interpreting known concepts and connecting tradition and modern spirit.
The large curtain and display case illustrations dealing with the topic of marriage rings provide the background on which jewellery is displayed. The spatial design concept is taken up again in the shop´s graphical design, which employs the style of old copper engravings in combination with modern vector graphics to create the special image of Hunke Trauringe´s new corporate design.
Individual and calm consultation is made possible by the translucent curtains that separate the consultation tables from the front shop area. Two full-height mirrors in the back of the store ensure visual contact between the consultation area and the entrance and give the compact room a fine and spacious appearance.
The limited colour range of black, white and gold provides a "stage" for the displayed jewellery. In combination with customised object lighting, the new and more spacious layout of the shop and display cases put all pieces of jewellery in just the right light.
