ADAC - Branch Office

The Automobile Association´s new appearance radiates competence

After a five month conversion during which business operations were continued without interruption, the ADAC branch office at the Neckartor in Stuttgart was reopened in June. The premises were extended to 430 square meters, and the results are an optical and functional success.

The spacious, transparent entry area with its trapezoid shape uses the ADAC corporate colors and serves to signal even at a distance that this is where ADAC members will find competent advice and a high-performance travel agency.

To ensure that all visitors will find their way around at once, they are welcomed by a sparkling white reception counter. Its round shape mirrors the round lamps and its attracting effect is additionally emphasized by the bright yellow wall with the ADAC logo, which catches all eyes at once.

A few steps will take visitors into the office´s interior, which is clearly structured according to the three main ADAC departments: One section includes the travel agency with its comprehensive, clearly structured poster wall. Another offers advice regarding anything that is of interest for drivers. The third comprises the specific range of sensible and practical accessories for any driver.

The complete interior captivates with its especially spatial structure, balanced lighting and friendly colors. Unpretentious, clean whites and grays are combined with the ADAC corporate colors of yellow and black and set off by the light brown free-standing oak veneer furniture.

The professionally designed lighting architecture ensures a comfortable, bright atmosphere. Large round lamps are integrated into the ceilings alternately with several recessed halide down lights and gimbaled spotlights. In combination with daylight, they provide perfect illumination.

The complete concept was designed by Ippolito Fleitz Group, Stuttgart, and Heikaus Raumgestaltung from Mundelsheim.

Even in the background, nothing was left to chance. The large seminar room for presentations and trainings is as bright and inviting as the conference lounge with daylight illumination and the offices. The cafeteria, where employees can go to eat and drink, also harmonically integrates light gray and white into its overall concept to make any lunch break pure joy.
