Comfort footwear specialist Bär takes new roads

The comfort footwear specialist Bär implemented its new store construction concept for the first time in Hamburg. The planning and implementation of this project was awarded to the Mundelsheim company HEIKAUS Raumgestaltung (Interior Design).

The atmosphere in this store is straightforward, yet bright and friendly. The whitewashed rustic wooden floorboards and the seating at the centre create a feeling of comfort and invite to stay a while.

Descriptive of this design concept: each shoe has its own stage. On large, bright internal elevations with individually placed, powder coated shelves every shoe conveys its value, doing justice to the comfort footwear specialist.

The shoes on the walls, as well as those on the three levels of the enclosures at the centre of the room, are perfectly highlighted. Despite the brilliant lighting, the HIT PAR 16 compact discharge lamps provide a warm and comfortable ambiance.

A nice piece of work...

The straight lines of the design are gracefully broken up with the rounded corners of the enclosures at the centre of the room and the materiality of the interior.

A convincing concept. Other locations are to follow, including Tokyo.
