Since owner Gerald Zörnerīs old premises had grown too small to put in practice his idea of expanding his offer by hearing acoustic products, he decided to move into the 350 sqm rooms in Kaiserstraße 21, Kitzingen. Now the specialist dealer offers all products and services related to hearing and seeing well on two floors there.

On the ground floor, both sunglasses and corrective lenses are offered, separated from each other visually by the central walkway to the reception desk. At the same time, the clear structure emphasises the generous space. Glazing with goods presentations is used as transparent dividing elements.

The consulting zone with well-structured corrective lens wall displays is located to the left of the entrance. The glasses are presented on delicate glass boards or white wood boards placed on the central shell limestone wall. Together with the sunglasses display, this wall represents the design conceptīs leitmotiv, the "Genius loci" of wine town Kitzingen. Shell limestone is a winery rock, the round shapes of the backlit wall sections reminiscent of stacked wine casks. The oak-plank-look floor completes the shopīs homage to Franconia while also creating a cosy atmosphere and visually connecting the overall area.

The right part of the shop holds not only the sunglasses display, but also a waiting lounge for customers. From there, they can watch the golf green, where new glasses can be tested for suitability for sports.

The architecture also considers the shop's customer-focus: Large parts of the shop can be viewed from nearly anywhere to warrant contact between customers and assistants. To this end, the workshop and refraction room are partially glazed.

Integration of present architectural components in the design makes constructive elements like supports, niches and girders less obtrusive and enhances effective presentation of the goods.

The light and friendly atmosphere is achieved mainly by choosing beige as the basic colour. Accents in light green and the corporate colour of aquamarine are used consistently throughout the design concept, reflected in wallpaper, upholstery, scriptures and the walls. A skilful combination of direct lighting - among others comprising GAIA-recessed lamps from Heikausī own Professional Retail Light lamp collection - and direct lighting from power rails, combined with gimballed spotlights, complements the harmonious atmosphere.

The flooring changes on the stairs, in connection with the pendulum lamps und typographic elements enticing customers onto the upper floor, where they will find an open contact fitting area as well as the new competence area for hearing acoustics. In the waiting area, customers can try out hearing aids on their own. The integrative concept is continued here in the colour and materials composition to visually combine the two areas of optical and hearing aids. To match the transparent room design on the ground floor, the adjacent staff room was designed with glazed wall sections to make it easier to contact staff.
