Hotel Königstein in Munich is a traditional business hotel, due to its central situation in the North of Munich and its excellent public transport connections. The extensive re-design of its rooms by Heikaus GmbH was based on drafts provided by the tredup/hamann architect's office to give the hotel a new, modern appearance. The fashionably furnished rooms with their individual kitchenettes provide a place where stressed-out business travellers can come to rest. This effect is emphasised by the harmonic colour scheme of white and nut-brown for walls and furniture, and complemented by the indirect lighting at the head of the bed. The bathroom is furnished exclusively in white and characterised by the clear and simple grace of its lines. One of its highlights is the integrated shower tiled at ground level.
