Kraft - Optics

After a nearly four-week lasting conversion of the Ditzingen branch of Kraft Optik it was reopened again. With their sensational appearance, the business premises attract the attention of passers-by. For the second time proprietor Andreas Kraft engaged Heikaus Raumgestaltung to transform his premises after their successful design of his Stuttgart branch.

The lavish glass storefront outside gives an idea of what exceptional design there is to be expected inside the premises, who are essentially divided into two sections - sunglasses and glasses for children and the section for corrective glasses.

Directly opposite the entrance area the levitating counter with the cash desk leading smoothly into the sunglasses area to the right and also serving as standing helpdesk, represents the most important part of the store. The corrective glasses are positioned on the other side. The arrangement of the product lines into two different areas is also stylistically reflected: as the atmosphere in the sunglasses area is a relaxed lounge atmosphere, the corrective glasses are arranged within a linear straight-line ambience.

The eye-catcher is clearly the sunglasses wall: satined, backlit acrylic glass cylinders in different variations pick up the circle-theme of the Stuttgart branch again and guarantee a perfect presentation of the glasses as well as a high recognition value. In combination with the light larchwood veneer, a harmonic colour composition consisting of light, friendly shades is generated.

In combination with the washed-out concrete walls and the industrial floor in trashy used-appearance, the lounge like furniture shows its very own special character, which remembers slightly of an urban club atmosphere. Creative highlights from the sixties and seventies, such as smoked glass or the glass pendant luster above the lounge area emphasize this effect. This trash mix creates the optimal setting for the presentation of the spectacles. Wonderglasses, Dita or Mykita are only some of the brands of the product line who also have adapted and newly interpreted elements of this time.

In contrast to this a clear stylistic featuring is being found in the helpdesk- and presentation area. On a long table, the customers are being advised in a familiar atmosphere. Fur-covered suspended lamps provide effective illumination. The washed-out concrete panels also utilized here bear a formal and also a visual reference to the sunglasses area.

The well balanced lightning concept consists of built-in and suspended lights and beamers and emphasized the harmonic impression of the premises. With models STELLA I, STELLA II and NEAL the Heikaus own brand of lightning, Professional Retail Light, was applied and provides a striking light arrangement of the exhibited eyewear.
