Not only children consider the Lego-Store a highlight among the 120 specialised stores and restaurants at the Munich Riem Arcaden shopping centre. The panes in the store's front wall and doors offer passers-by a view of the brightly coloured wonderland with its large and small, round and cubic Lego bricks. The floor and ceiling are painted in the same bright yellow as the cubes on which the toys are presented. The round lamp rings suspended from the ceiling are designed almost like Lego elements as well. Round and square elements throughout the store take up the Lego-brick motif, e.g. in the decorative strips along the shelves or the round Plexiglas cylinders in the front wall, until the shop itself appears to be one huge Lego brick. Heikaus GmbH was responsible for the overall design concept, implementation and project management.
