The WDR-Arkaden of the Old Town of Cologne include a shopping highlight for old and young alike: The so-called "Mausladen", as the Maus & Co. WDR-Shop is lovingly called by its fans. Its front and doors are glazed to enable passers-by to have a look at the bright and friendly shop interior that seems to invite everyone in. The store's interior is suitable for children and appears playful. The shelves and display cases have rounded corners to minimise the risk of injury for the youngest visitors. Panels in orange and dark-blue - the colours of the popular German cartoon characters Maus and Elefant - serve as colourful highlights for the almost white, wooden furniture.
