Schlosshotel Monrepos -Hotel

The Schlosshotel Monrepos, which is situated in the calm, idyllic Monrepos Seepark, underwent extensive renovation work. Because of its proximity to the baroque-style Seeschloss, which was built by Herzog Carl Eugen and Friedrich I., one special challenge was merging traditional historic architecture with a modern and elegant appearance. The challenge was fully met by architect Markus Diedenhofen.

The hotel's entrance, lobby and Monrepos Bar with their modern design and numerous glass elements are kept in bright and warm beiges and browns. Furniture in clear, classic shapes is combined with a playful design of the walls and outstanding carpets. Spot lights are used for providing unpresumptuous highlights. Indirect lighting makes the rooms feel hospitable. The lobby with its old rose furniture on a dark green baroque style carpet seems to take the visitor back to the times of King Ludwig. The hotel's bar also combines past and present in its tasteful beige and brown interior with comfortable upholstered furniture to relax in while enjoying good Wurttemberg wine or exotic cocktails.
