High Tech even in the furniture design

The physicians and physicists of Radio-Log, as well as the property developer Scherr + Klimke of Ulm placed great value on the latest medical technology as well as on sophisticated and high-class ambiance in the space. Since the end of November the physicians are practicing medicine in the new offices which were officially opened on 1/23/2009 with a grand ceremony.

Not only should patients feel comfortable while in the space, but also the staff of the medical teams.

In a space of 420 sqm the physicians made their dream of a radiology office come true. Thus an emotional as well as practical space-inside-space concept was created. The "large capacity", with its concrete look, envelopes the positioned room cubes of dark walnut louvers which are opened to the top. The selected wood veneer harmonises with the red and white colours used on the wall segments. It creates a feeling and a guidance which is shaped by narrow aisles and open/spacious areas.

All supply lines as well as the entire heating and cooling technology are hidden from visitors inside the walls of the room cubes. PVC was used for the flooring in the office areas, a PUR based white epoxy resin in the radiation booth.

The entire office is flooded with pleasantly warm, mostly indirect lighting. The LED System XAL Nano II, recessed spotlights and strip lights were used.
