Relocation to the central rooms in the Trier pedestrian zone gave SOHO Women´s Wear an entirely new shop concept. Experienced fashion experts and owners Claudia & Volker Sandmayer wanted to put the collection in the focus in spite of an extravagant sales room design. A suitable stage was to be created on 200 square meters, to match the high-quality brands - among them J BRAND, D&G, CITIZENS OF HUMANITY, CHLOÉ or DNKY.

The HEIKAUS design time created an extraordinary room concept to achieve this objective. A fine curtain fabric along the walls welcomes the customer as a symbol of femininity and harmony, flowing around the room, dissolving edges and embracing her in the changing area. The simply dropping cloth is the perfect stage for the exclusive women´s collection that seems to float before a cloth wall, suspended from simple, elegant brass profiles.

Simple white free-standing furniture alternates with golden glass cubes, accompanying the customer on his way through the shop with their goods presentation. They offer an exciting contrast to the cast-iron supports of past epochs. This play with historic quotations is taken up again in the panelled furniture and wall covers varnished in white, translated into modern times by the use of white glass inserts.

The suitably placed, softy rounded ceiling panel with its indirect cove lighting creates light as natural as if the sun was shining in the shop, interacting with the natural skylights in the rear area. This is also a place to linger; classic furniture from different eras characterises the lounge area, providing waiting partners and friends with a place to relax close to the changing rooms.

The large and bright changing area indulges the customer with high-pile carpet, mirrored walls and white, encompassing curtains that form an elegant and near-private environment to satisfy the most demanding of customers as well as the high-quality goods while offering space for relaxed consulting.

The room´s harmony is emphasised by a balanced light concept consisting of pointed, area, direct and indirect light from recessed and power-rail mounted spotlights from the STELLA II and NEAL series of HEIKAUS´ own Professional Retail Light lamp collection

Walking towards the shop, one will look down onto styled mannequins in front of the panelled rear wall cover, hinting at what is in store for the customer here: a unity of lifestyle, fashion, architecture and design!
