Tourbillon - Watches

Immersed in the world of Tourbillon watches

The elegant spa town of Baden-Baden, known for scenic, architectural and cultural attractions, saw the opening of Germanyīs first Tourbillon boutique in November of 2005.

Tourbillon is identified with one of the most intricate technical specialities of the clock maker tradition. It minimises the influence of gravity on the accuracy of clocks and is only one of few watch manufacturers who produce these exquisite pieces. Seven of these companies and their products are present in Baden-Baden.

The concept for selling extremely high-quality watches and precious jewellery is based on light. Lots of light which diffracts in manifold in the product materials that can be found behind the glass fronts of the showcases. Walls in an elegant Venetian plaster technique shine in broken white, creating an adequate background for the individually lighted wall showcases. Individual showcases in front of ceiling height glass panels, highlighted in beige present a few special pieces at the perfect viewing level. Massive parquet flooring in a warm cherry tone lends stability to the room and emphasizes the character of the elegant overall impression.

The furnishing in beige designed by Milanīs design firm Bruz, with its narrow accents in brushed brass, takes a discrete backseat to the product despite its brightness. Leather seating arrangements allow for relaxed customer meetings in a first-class ambiance.

The special technical requirements such as climate technological aspects or the extensive security equipment of such a special project, were to be resolved with great care and - although there - have largely remained hidden.
