The new design concept for the branch of the wedding ring and bridal fashion store "Trauringschmiede" in the inner city of Cologne is characterised by its clear lines and unobtrusive colours on two floors.

The jewellery displayed on the ground floor wedding ring area is emphasised by the colour scheme of clean white, ivory and greys, combined with an intense Bordeaux accent colour.

Using mainly light colours gives the rooms a spacious appearance. The elmwood-look floor is a harmonious match for the consulting tables painted a glossy white. This design, together with the high stools with their galvanised steel bases and ivory cushions, will make guests comfortable during consultation talks. Both colours and materials are repeated in the traditional table lamps, another element for creating a relaxed consultation atmosphere. Bordeaux-coloured armchairs are placed on a high-pile carpet in chocolate brown. Like a wall decorated in playful floral patterns, they make the room warm and comfortable. Jewellery is presented unobtrusively in glass display cases. An adjacent workshop in the upper rear area drives home the goldsmithing competence.

The bridal fashion floor below offers the "MarryGold" brand. Here, brides-to-be can revel in a magically female atmosphere dominated by light crèmes. The combination of softly draped cloth covering the walls and the high-pile carpet offers an almost cocoon-like impression. Large changing cubicles designed as arches in the room are made of the same cloth and offer sufficient space for trying on dresses. White, square platforms serve as a perfect stage for assessing the precious silk and lace creations. Flexible, playful silver mirrors enable a 360 degrees view, and light-coloured baroque chairs with turned legs are available as comfortable seats for the future bride´s companions. Only the exposed natural stone walls offer some contrast to the romantic, feminine atmosphere and the purposefully unobtrusive light architecture which amongst other consists of lamps from Professional Retail Light. String curtains are used to give even these walls a texture nearly as soft as that of the displayed bridal fashion.
