Viva - Optics
A new image full of vigour
On November 18, 2007 the time had finally come. VIVA!optic opened after 3 weeks of remodelling with a completely new image. Lutz Landers had already been thinking about adding more vigour to the space for a while.
In its time the old VIVA store was quite certainly contemporary. Its very clear forms and the demure furniture arrangement, however, no longer were in step with the current trends. Even the colour scheme, turquoise was then an absolutely trendy colour, now seemed rather cool. A more comfortable atmosphere, more warm materials and less STORE character were to fix this.
After 6 months of preplanning a plan was approved, which surpassed all expectations. A modern, appealing specialised optical store was created in a space of 145 mē. The materials and forms correspond with the future customer focus of VIVA!optic, uniting store and lounge as a theme.
Great attention was paid to creating a warm atmosphere which invites customers to stay a while. A comfortable ambiance that conveys a feeling of visiting friends. This is achieved particularly through the use of dark wood-look laminate, the carpeting and the warm colours. The faux stone wall is also quite distinctive. It features backlit plexiglass caps in front of which the glasses are staged quite effectively. Additional graphics enhance the attractive effect.
Consultation areas form the centre of the lounge, clearly separated by the different flooring and the floating ceiling vane. The string curtain in the waiting area lends a personal ambiance without blocking the view. The bar area directly opposite provides the adequately hospitable service. Cream coloured lounge chairs add a bit of vigour to the room and invite to stay a while. The product, now almost solely contained in the wall presentations, is now emphasised particularly well. Here the principle "less is more" is observed, just as with the display window. The clear separation of the individual product groups as well as the linear presentation adds to the customer being able to navigate well and quickly. The enhanced lighting level and the homelike lamps contribute to customers with vision problems having products presented at their best.
